![]() ![]() Jeremy claims that the watch belonged to his grandmother. The pawnshop owner, Randy, agrees to pay him $600 for the watch. The next day, he visits a pawnshop to sell it. Despite feeling somewhat guilty about it, Jeremy decides to keep the watch. As the elderly woman hands Jeremy a dollar, he quickly swipes her watch. Amazingly, however, the books are dry after the trick. He performs a magic trick for an elderly black woman and her grandson, by pouring a bottle of water into the boy's backpack. After Melvin leaves, Jeremy begins putting his ideas into action. He then informs Jeremy that he will be gone the next day as his grandmother will be visiting. Melvin reminds Jeremy that they are magicians, not thieves, and although they were making slow progress, they were making honest money at least. ![]() This gives Jeremy an idea he plans on stealing watches from his clients. After their performance, he reveals to them that his watch is worth $K. ![]() One of their clients, a wealthy middle-aged man, is extremely impressed by their tricks. Jeremy and Melvin perform a magic trick for a wealthy, middle-aged businessman. Jeremy begins to get frustrated and impatient. While they manage to impress a few people with their tricks, they only manage to earn a meager four dollars. However, things seem to be going rather slow for them. They both have aspirations of making it big in their careers, hoping to earn enough money to buy tickets to Magicon and meet Julius Dein, their idol. Two young men, Melvin and Jeremy, are magicians who perform magic tricks for shoppers at the local mall, earning tips for their performances. ![]()
